The Begum situation is a massive one for Starmer - will he go all Corbyn and go against the Majorities wishes or will he campaign to keep her OUT of the country?

If he does the right thing he has my vote.

If he goes all PC/Far left advocating she stay a British Citizen then he pushes the silent majority further towards the Tories imo.

He was a lawyer mate. He will do what is correct, legally.

Dems the rulez.

Define "PC/Far Left" Bet you can't....

Who is this "man on the street?" Is he the same as " the man on the Clapham omnibus?" Are there female mindsets as well?
I think we should be told.

The ones that consistently vote in conservative governments and have only deviated in the last few decades for New Labour. The people that vote for Churchill as the greatest ever Britain. And Barry from Watford.

Yes mate, if you are not radical left you're a racist ;)

Baffling aint it - its why I dislike the far left more than the right these days.

You know what you're getting with the Right and they dont really try and hide it either - its the far left who claim to be for the people yet have the same elitist snobbery and disdain towards the average working man as the Tories do, its just you're a racist rather than you're a peasant.

you spent the whole of yesterday accusing anyone who saw an independent judiciary and the rule of law as a good thing of being a ‘corbyn supporting leftie ‘. You might want to put down the rocks and also maybe walk Back the whole woe is me an inch or two .

If you read most topics in the current affairs forum that has anything relating to politics/race/immigration/brexit you're a bad gammon Brexit Party member if your stance isn't far left.

That there is exactly the reason why we've been stuck with the Tories for the past decade.

Soon as Labour moved to the left post Nu Labour it basically gift wrapped the Tories a decade to carry out their austerity. Ultimately thats the irony when you see the same people like Corbyn bemoan what the Tories have done in the last decade whilst having a heavy hand in giving them the means to do so by turning away the average Joe who isn't far left.

I know its not easy to hear but your stance really is in the minority mate - not that I dont agree with some of what you stand for as I do - but there is a reason why the majority have voted Tory in the last two elections and it aint because they all love being trampled on...

Nobody commenting on this story?

The lack of discussion about it was a tad surprising. It’s undoubtedly going to be framed as a MSM plot to hammer the final nails into to the blessed St Corbyn.

It justifies the distrust that people had for the previous iteration of the party and the feeling that the cult of personality had spiralled out of control.

Hopefully it draws a line under how totally unacceptable some comments made in the past have been, which also extends to some on here who parroted lines.
