I like Corbyn but what a muppet! He’s got an opportunity to look great compared to May and he does something like that. He should be going into that meeting, giving May a slating and telling the cameras that she hasn’t got a clue what she’s doing and showing people that he should be PM. Instead, he just makes himself look childish.

The Independant group are not a political party but members of a private funded company, who incidently wont reveal their backers. So why was Ummuna even there? He shouldnt have been allowed anywhere near the meeting, it was a farce to start with.

That’s not really the point.

This on the same day he had a couple of independent group people booted off of select committees so that Labour have their spot. He's got his eye on the big picture here.

Hamas and the IRA are fine, but Chuka not. C'mon, there's no way to spin this as in any way statesmanlike. It was petty at a time of crisis for the country.
I think he's met May before. What did the other leaders think to the meeting? Time's rapidly running out, and someone, whatever his capability, attempting to resolve this needs to prioritise.

Seriously, what is this obsession that the FBPE lot have with Corbyn? Even if he and every Labour MP, every SNP MP, every Plaid MP and the shower of TIGgery voted against May she would still be there, because the Tories vote for her.

He keeps refusing the press the secret 'Stop Brexit' button under his desk.

Because May was open to input at the said meeting?

That's not really the point with all due respect, it his his job as leader of the opposition to put the fear of God into her. A meeting without Labour would hardly bring her to heel. It just gives her more of a reason to act bullish.

The other leaders themselves said an earlier meeting with Corbyn followed the same sort of lines, where he was only interested in his way. If he had it about him to sort this out he could have negotiated with the rest of them what is acceptable behind the scenes without requiring an indicative vote in the HOC, they then can go to these meetings with May all singing from the same hymn sheet to apply maximum pressure.

Isn't he now actively pursuing 'someone else's' way?
She doesn't even listen to her own cabinet. I do wonder what his expectations where though.
