This is nicely boiling up now for an all out internal war.

Good. It cant come quickly enough. The membership will back the leadership and the only option for the Neo-Blairites will be to either sling their hook or STFU forever.

Let battle commence.

You can be Xenophobic as an African against other Africans. Xenophobia is about prejudice based on countries rather than race.

I could share a national origin with you, and also belong to the same race.

I'll just post the definition of racism again:
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
Would that extend to asserting that you are "God's chosen people" ?

A war which will lead to the destruction of Labour as a viable (long term) governing party. So I can't see why you welcome it with glee.

I'm not saying things could have stayed the same as it was, they were always on a collision course but what has happened over the last few weeks was not the right way to go about it.

The right wing media have done that already. The best we can hope for is a clear out of the Blairite faction that will at least leave us as an effective opposition.

Collision was going to happen, and the timing would be important. And in furbile environment of that backstop and negotiation, timing to have collision could not be better. You don't do these things when on watch (government), you do them when attentions are elsewhere and not on watch (opposition). The general focus is on current Government Austerity and Brexit, the middle ground is what majority of people are experiencing in managing their lives.

But many things are “possible”. You haven’t provided any evidence that these people do feel racially superior, so why speculate on it?
This is a fairly well documented debate, both in 3rd sector and across a broader context:

For my own credentials to offer an opinion:
I worked for an International NGO for 10 years (I'm not going to go into which, but you may be able to infer from my posting history), have lectured on International Development, International Humanitarian Law, led conferences on conflict resolution in developing countries and contributed to international aid policy and strategy.

I agree the media absolutely does not help, but there is no point using it as an excuse. Do you think the right wing media are going to lighten up on Labour after it has weeded out the centre-left?

Corbyn would be happy with Brexit, you may as well put him on the Tory front bench. He just has to act like he doesn't to fit in with the rest of the party. So imho there isn't going to be any effective opposition anyhow.

Of course you always try and bury bad news when there is worse things going on, it is a legitimate tactic, but at the end of the day that only really counts if Labour win the next election. And as above the media are quite happy using Labour's issues as a distraction from Brexit and not the other way around.

The issue he has, fundamentally, is that as a Socialist, he disagrees with the concept of a capitalist entity such as the EU.

The Tory Brexiteers don't want an EU as they think it applies too much regulation to their idea of capitalism.

They both don't want it but for completely different reasons. The difference comes, where you have to balance the impact on the electorate vs remaining. The Brexiteers don't care, they're not arsed if the most vulnerable will be the hardest hit, they're not arsed if you're eating diseased meat, they're not arsed if entire sectors of manufacturing and agriculture will be decimated - it's preferable for that to happen in their world.

Yes I agree with the above. Just to clarify when I said stick Corbyn on the Tory front bench, that was exclusively just for Brexit.
