It’s good to see that the ‘working people’ are not affected by the budget. Well apart from the thousands of redundancies that the supermarkets are making, and the fact that the costs of everything are going up. But no worries those non-doms they were going to clobber can rest easy as she reigns back on the pre election tough talk…meanwhile pensioners are paying the price…if only they’d been represented at Davos………

Why do you care about working people all of a sudden?

Sainsbury job loses by closing cafes, that business plan was announced 3'years ago. Just Sainsbury PR spinning the bad news for easy minded.

I'm just amazed that Starmer hasn't completely cratered that party.

That'll be as good as it gets for his lot.
Starmer and his team are now beginning to look like politcal equalvent of Dyche. Although I don't beleive it will pan out as some believe. Looks like electorate craving "stability" rather than "revelotion". At this conjecture.

Imagine using Sainsbury’s corporate greed as a yardstick to beat the government with.

Must be strong stuff he’s supping in these cold winter months.

Poor old Sainsbury’s eh

The problem is mate is that voters are cheesed off with the Tories and Labour because they vote either party in on the back of promising policies only for them to backtrack once in power. That’s why the likes of Reform benefit.

A lot of people get cheesed off aswell because they don’t read past a headline or what their favourite account says on TikTok.

Since Brexit & COVID I’ve never known so many people put themselves out there as an authority in areas they actually know nothing about, all because of what they’ve been told on the internet. I think it’s far worse than it’s ever been.

The problem is that these people have had got plenty of proof that Farage & his lot are a bunch of chancers who’d destroy this country yet because he drinks pints down the local he’s “one of us”. Laughable.

Great stuff, the Tories again then hey.

Where does your new Leftist party fit into that potential 2029 matrix Dave? Getting zero MPs and knocking another 50-100 Labour MPs out of Parliament to ensure a right-wing hegemony?

No doubt you'd be crowing about how clean your hands are. Not surprising how unwilling you and your ilk ever are to do the hard work of governing.

Stop blaming socialists for a right wing 'Labour' government's failings.

Their political role is to upend ruling parties by drawing voters away from them at by-elections and G.E.s

You just don't get it. Still. It's incredible. Your ideal socialist party doesn't exist. Electorally they're not an option, so all you do by pissing in the water is ensure parties even more right wing than Labour get in. I don't know why you can't grasp this.

Yep, it's insane. I've had three completely separate people regurgitate that "Litterbox in a school because one student identified as a cat" nonsense over the last couple of years, and when I tell them it's made up they keep swearing it's true. Last time was a colleague sat at her desk so I asked her to look up the name and even country of the school in question as she didn't seem to know such a crucial piece of info for something so weird, and was properly shocked that it turned out no such school existed anywhere in the world. How can people go through life so uncritical of what random internet people are sharing?

Wasn't Sainsbury's boss moaning about working from home recently? Dinosaurs live among us.

Well they've had to close the cafes because people are just making cuppas at home. Keep up Bruce!

Way back I used to enjoy a Sainsburys cooked breakast on a fuggy weekend morning, it was so cheap, I think even with adding black pudding to a large one it was less than a fiver.
