I see that one millionaire now leaves the U.K. every 45 minutes…make of that what you will…

Oh and I see Rachel from accounts has not been invited to speak at Davos…even that pillock Hunt got to give a speech when he was Chancellor…but then he didn’t screw up the economy…..

That’s completely made up.

Kin hell Pete, we can all fall some sop, but this is silliness.

Are you sure it’s not every 39 minutes? That would make more sense

The biggest frustration with the Labour Government opponents should is their cowardice. They have a massive majority that could push through real changes, yet they seem afraid to do so. Policy that could really make a difference. If any opposition had real gumption they would park the tanks on the Labour rose garden below (not exhaustive list).

Water regulation needs properly sorting.
Levenson 2 needs starting.
Energy regulators need to work for the consumers not the suppliers.

I'm guessing part of the issue is, back slapping policies are easier to force through when there is the money to cover their perceived cost.

'Why are you fixing the roads, what about the small boats'
'Why are you avoiding the GB energy stuff you promised, and now you are avoiding another seven year inquest into child sex grooming gangs'
'Where are these 1.5million houses? you aren't even in the country long enough to count as a resident'

contrarian positions and arguments in bad faith.

I wanted more on tax avoidance/evasion and the covid frauds. It's also time...
  • the thalidomide compensation cut is looked at
  • the Windrush compensation was sorted
  • the Post office compensation was sorted
  • the tainted blood scandal compensation was sorted
The previous bunch had plenty of time and in fact caused at least one of the above totally and managed to say sorry for and try to make up for nothing.

Getting the country back on a firm standing, means also to ethically and morally be not bankrupt as well. The harms done, the crimes commit, the victims left isolated, from the top man at the CPS I'd expect more vigour and verve in addressing these gross injustices.

Just over 6 months in.

Looks like they're going to reverse their Chagos Islands decision to pacify Trump.
Well instead of criticising Labour, perhaps we can all have a good discussion and come up with a location where we can conveniently forget about international law and let our American friends torture their captives hey?

I'm pointing out how cowardly they are in the face of Trump.

They backed a losing horse in Harris and now they have to kiss ass for 4 years.

Yep, a lack of backbone and they now have the continuing Diego Garcia scandal as a millstone around their neck that they are responsible for.

I am not impressed with this one. They can't blame the previous government for this, as they had the opportunity and deal in place to walk away.

Lammy said today that they did the deal was with the outgoing Biden administration "so it's only right that the Trump administration gets a chance to look at it again."
