The basic State Pension triple locked. Maybe you could live comfortably on it?

Dave, could you please explain why the state pension is around £900 a month (or thereabouts) but a 24 year old claiming universal credit is only entitled to around £340 a month to live on ?

Three a whole world in terms of age and tax paid in over a lifetime of employment and probably marital status.

That's NOT defending the outrageously small amount of cash handed to those on UC. That's a disgrace...btw: Starmer's Gang promised to get shut of UC, so dont forget that either.

It's disingenuous to say there isn't a link when more and more of the government's budget goes to paying pensions and debt. I mean debt repayments alone are over £100bn a year, compared to ~£80bn for universal credit. You always portray maxing the credit card as without consequences, but there are very real consequences.

I didn’t blame them for it. However instead of imposing IHT on our farms, here’s an idea completely off the wall, stop spending the £500million and reverse the IHT for farmers…and this is down to the Labour Party……..

You do realise that the majority of the £500 million aid grants were granted by the Tory government don’t you ?
