All been abused but kept under the carpet , but God forbid a single parent gets a few bob of the state they are fit to burn.
Not the landowner raking it in of the government's thought.
There will be a lot of decent farmers out there more than likely the majority but Clarkson and co are just in it for a tax scam.
Saying that not that sure I agree with inheritance tax at all.
Morally if you have paid your taxes while alive why should you pay again when your dead?
It's double taxed.

Respectfully (agree with the rest) ,in my opinion because you haven't paid them, there is a clear transaction of wealth from one person to another, at higher levels of wealth if we want society to function then it should be taxed.

Inheritance is still one of if not the number one form of wealth gain, if you are gaining wealth from society you should be taxed for the good of society

The person inheriting pays the tax on their 'share', the same as they'd pay tax on most other forms of income as the assets/cash is transferred.

It's not double taxed at all.

Wealth being entrenched within families is a huge driver of societal inequality and the scions of those families haven't 'earned' anything, just been lucky enough to be born into riches. Incidentally you could apply a merciless inheritance tax to these people that stops them getting much in the way of unearned assets/cash at all, and they'd still have had all the advantages that growing up with material privilege grants people.

So if you want to concern yourself with 'double' anything, it's the double-whammy of privilege that rich kids get - to both grow up with more opportunities than others, and then a few decades later suddenly get a windfall they've done little or nothing to deserve.

So apologies for repeating myself but if I was a third generation farmer and I saw this system impacting on me I’d be livid at the likes of Clarkson whose greed and open mocking of the system has led directly to this crackdown , I certainly wouldn’t be having him at the tip of the protest spear .

Incredible scenes. Faced with Starmer's Labour government implementing something he can't fault, the Boy Lemon has conjured up a hypothetical future backtrack to berate them over instead, complaining they aren't doing something they currently actually are.

Starmer pre-election addressed the NFU with an offer of help - then kicked them in the nuts - like the OAPs - The Labour Party boxed themselves into a corner over not raising income tax - so the rich & I notice the bankers Bonuses have all been untouched NI was supposed to be left alone, but small business workers will go to the wall - The Chancellor a junior banker in her time best mate with former Bank of England Mervyn King sought advice there - the king of austerity when the Tories gained power - sorry they are all the same - you do not hit an industry that puts food on your table - she could have just stopped the Tax dodging Clarkson's & Dyson's of this world i.e. if you buy land to dodge inheritance tax e.g. Gentleman farmers producing zilch - or being landlord farmers then hit them with normal inheritance tax - the generation working farmers who produce our food leave alone within reason ...
