Yes, our farming industry is booming ... NOT..... trailer loads of manure heading to parliament tomorrow ....
Ah yes, those post brexit trade deals with Australia now in effect. Lizzy the misunderstood has got your defence.
You couldn't make this stuff up. The feller who wanted food, water and energy supplies cut off from Gaza...

Was wondering how you would dance on this particular pin head now Starmer reached out the warm hand of friendship to your kinship. Was expecting more "juice" to be honest.

Really feel for the Labour MP on Good morning Britain today. He is firmly laying out how so many farmers will be excluded from the IHT and the young farmer who’s protesting today will not listen to facts of the matter. She says the £3m threshold isn’t really there and that they’re bill would be £1m

MP rightfully pointed out then that she would have an estate worth over £10m.

I don’t sympathise with Farmers at all with them about this tax. Instead maybe give them cuts on their farming fuel or other stuff

Also, Jeremy Clarkson going with them to protest today actually doesn’t help their cause...
Everyone lecturing about food security but not a word when those figures about identify huge amounts of land going out of farming . It’s manufactured outrage to protect millionaires dodging tax .

Just read some farmer on twitter complaining about how he can’t possibly cope with inheritance and he earns less than £30k a year from his farm . A quick google reveals his company having over a £1m in cash never mind assets , it’s really hard to have any sympathy

China's ok again now...

...to paraphrase Orwell: "Oceania was never at war with Eastasia".

Why have sympathy for them when everyone else in the country pays 40% inheritance tax they pay 20% ?
If I where in charge
I would say one wheel goes anywhere near Westminster and you will be treated like anyone else in the country and it goes up to 40%.
They should be treated like any other business not a special case as they have been for years.
Loads of them couldn't run if left to there own devices, grants for this and that letting them keep there way of life.
Fed up with them moaning TORY bums.

Winston, don't trust O'Brien. Trust me.

That’s my point mate I don’t get it . Don’t get me wrong if I’m a farmer I’d be fuming if they closed a loophole on me but how have the daily mail convinced a warehouse worker in stoke to be outraged that someone with a million quid in the bank and £10m in assets is getting taxed the same , or actually less , than everybody else inheriting above £325k . It’s bananas

Wealthy land owners that voted as bloc for brexit suddenly come a cropper (arf!)? Suddenly it's not so bloody funny because they have to pay their share.

Well colour me shocked. What a crying shame. They'll have to increase all those fox hunts they charge the gentry for, for a grand day out with the hounds.
Honestly I’ve heard or read about tales of woe from a ‘shepherdess ‘ , a ‘struggling farmer ‘ and someone fearful that their ‘child’s inheritance will be swallowed up ‘. In those three cases alone it’s about £20/30m in assets , there must be struggling farmers I’m sure but they aren’t in the tv and radio moaning , I can only assume they’re actually at work .

There's an old phrase, "you'll never see a thin farmer!". Covid delayed the earlier effects of brexit, these fatso's have been on borrowed time for a while.

The NFU is an awful organisation hell bent on climate destruction for profit, they make zero comprimose without payoff and are as happy to destroy local environments for profit as any private water company. Hope Labour stay strong on this policy, pay your way you badger baiting, wildlife culling brexit theives

Just heard a farmer on LBC who will inherit a minimum of £4.5m ranting at the unfairness of the policy and calling it , more then once ,

London liberal lefty elite wokeism

I’ll say it again There must be some reasonable farmers who will be impacted by this but they aren’t on the media .

There was a sustainable farming installation in Liverpool the other year, I met some brilliant independent farmers whose desire and innovation was inspiring, the NFU had no presence there, nor did they want any.

This protest is little more than big business pushing back on absolutely anything that might mean they have to pay their way.

That flabby mess clarkson being the figurehead is a perfect symbol for them

So apologies for repeating myself but if I was a third generation farmer and I saw this system impacting on me I’d be livid at the likes of Clarkson whose greed and open mocking of the system has led directly to this crackdown , I certainly wouldn’t be having him at the tip of the protest spear .

Likes of him a Dyson have just made there little scam more public.
Double claiming land owner and tenant for environmentally grants.
Crofts in Scotland
Hill farmers
All been abused but kept under the carpet , but God forbid a single parent gets a few bob of the state they are fit to burn.
Not the landowner raking it in of the government's thought.
There will be a lot of decent farmers out there more than likely the majority but Clarkson and co are just in it for a tax scam.
Saying that not that sure I agree with inheritance tax at all.
Morally if you have paid your taxes while alive why should you pay again when your dead?
It's double taxed.
