As I said, the people who choose to stay are mostly the patriots and clearly there are a number of things you highlight as reasons why you have stayed which align with my point.

I actually believe each country has its benefits to try and balance the negatives out...some like the US and UK are quickly disappearing. This is why people (like myself) have chosen to leave what we see as a sinking ship and adapt to other cultures through legal channels. Many cultures of course have deep historical interest, importance and warmth which can become far more rewarding than others.

The healthcare system of the NHS has and probably will be for some time...a joke in comparison to what i have experienced elsewhere. Another reason why many have left. I would definitely call the UK countryside as 'ugly' compared to the beaches and mountains elsewhere.

I enjoy this part of the forum for the diversity of its views (when you remove the hatred and brainwashing that has been created by evil people and large organisations profiting from the sheep) which typically come from those still stuck in a life with limited reward. Unfortunately those views are extremely one sided and there is no room for open mindedness or logic...solely abuse and accusations.

The football of course is a different kettle of fish but i would never sacrifice anything to live in the UK to watch Everton. Happy to 'enjoy' from afar and perhaps with the new stadium fly back and see if anything has improved....certainly hadnt the last time.

Let’s be honest here guys, Starmer and Reeves are making a pigs ear of this. Considering how long they had to formulate their thoughts for the future, they have seriously cocked it up. They are now dropping the no smoking outside of pubs and stadium fiasco, because they have finally realised that it will harm the hospitality industry and they had no credible way of policing it in the first place. What idiot dreamt this idea up is anyone’s guess, but it just shows the incredibly low competence of a party, with so much time on their hands while in opposition, that they couldn’t think this through while it took everyone else about five minutes to identify the stupidity and pitfalls…..

Japan, Thailand, Philippines.

Although, these days even in the Philippines to live in a very nice 2 bed condo it's going to cost £1.3mil and Bangkok £2mil+ while for nice but old houses £5mil to anywhere north of £15mil in central manila.

But of course relative to the UK its pennies. The police, hospitals and transportation here actually work. Almost everyone is friendly and helpful...warm weather amazing beaches and nature.

I dont know what more anyone could want...

Of course, you don't care if a government breaks international law. It's clear that some kinds of law breaking is fine if it supports your prejudices.
