The contours of the Starmer Gang's mission are becoming a bit clearer now:

1/ enable corporate Britain by borrowing to invest in capital projects - thus giving a boost to private sector (projected to be about 1 part private investment to 3 parts public cash) - the source being the borrowed extra £50B from tweaking debt description.
2/ target small to medium share owners for tax purposes.
3/ sort out wage rises for key public workers and, overall, move toward making it slightly harder for smaller scale business enterprises to exploit workers in terms of hiring and firing.
4/ attack those most vulnerable who rely on some form of benefits.

Is that a winning formula to retain power in 2029 or a mixed bag that will ensure they're thrown out of office?

lol at you suggesting people travelling in conditions your feeble mind can't even conceive to come here somehow lack drive.

You have absolutely no clue what my "feeble mind" can conceive.

How many illegals are living in your house in the UK? It would have to be an enormous amount to countenance your arrogance.

How about you attempt to enter Iran or China illegally and then try to tell everyone your 'story'. Or have you no substance...

Spoken like a loyal servant, bravo. 👏

I struggle to name one business person i personally know who is still living in the UK.

There is no reason to choose to live there.

You’re right.

All the business people have left the uk because of communism.

Indeed, there is absolutely zero businesses developed or run here.

Let me tell you about football and Everton FC.

Joking aside, the fact that you spend so much time on here makes me think you might be a part of the stable.

Lets say (and you may well be) that you are an extremely successful person living in London.

You are in a position to work anywhere on the planet and receive the same compensation but with lower taxes and other benefits (e.g free housing etc).

For what reasons would you stay?

The weather?
Friendly people?
Fish&chips?

It seems Labour/Starmer’s position on working people is broken down to the most basic form, if you have a job you get wages/salary & a payslip end of month then you’re ok.:)

Anything outside of that and they consider your cash available to tax as they see fit including saving accounts, money from selling things, cash left in inheritance, shares land lording etc.

I think quite a lot of people will be surprised by what they go after given how open they’ve left their definition.
Maybe they should go after the defined benefits pensions so many civil servants still enjoy?

The contours of the Starmer Gang's mission are becoming a bit clearer now:

You're a bit up against it today Dave trying to get a rise out of people with your tales of the ongoing adventures of the Starmer Gang. We've got accusations of the implementation of outright Communism and how it's forced all the personally-known businesspersons out of London because they can work anywhere on the planet at the drop of a hat to contend with.

You really are a whopper, who, unless I forget, doesn't live in the UK, so have absolutely no idea about life here. Get back in your box.

Why would i choose to live in the UK ?

Most who can choose would leave.

Why are you not living in Iran or China illegally to prove there is any base to your opinion?

You cant. Its that simple.

Edit: Hold on a minute, i cant have a view as i dont "live in the UK"

Meanwhile you support the illegal entry of millions who also do not "live in the UK".

What kind of bizarre mindset is this hahahahaha

Dear oh Dear. Try living on foreign soil illegally and see what happens.

I work internationally and have to spend a lot of time near the equator, which, if I’m being honest, I can find the relentless heat difficult. Regarding the UK, I enjoy its deep historical roots. The UK’s offerings in areas such as the arts and entertainment, museums, historic sites, and architecture would appeal to anyone with even a slight interest in history. I am a regular fell walker and spend a good part of my time in the Lakes, Scotland, or North Wales. Sometimes it’s sunny, sometimes raining, sometimes snowing, but those changes are part of the charm. For me, the natural beauty of the UK is at least as good as anywhere in the world, which explains the wealth of artists, poets, and their ilk inspired by this beautiful land, thinking of that, the language too. English is the most recognised global lingua franca (tee-hee).

We take things for granted, such as the stability of our democracy, and our politicians are as annoying as seems to be a global issue, but we enjoy a true democracy. We moan about the NHS, mainly because the shills in the other party want to saddle us with the healthcare debt that the likes of the US population suffer, but even as tired as ‘she’ is at present, the NHS is a magnificent thing. Large parts of the world now enjoy the things that the UK has developed over time, here and abroad, things that we have come to expect.

Thinking about Everton and the city of Liverpool, the UK is a hub for football, and I would say music too, though I note that the likes of the US might stake a claim as well, considering recent popular music. You spend a lot of time on here; maybe you long to converse with Brits, Scousers, and our US cousins. You could well be in the Wirral, but if not, maybe you are lonely and wanting to be among Scousers, roaring the blues on, singing in the pub after the match, and with the courage of that backing, feeling bold enough to punch others in the heart. ✊

As I said, the people who choose to stay are mostly the patriots and clearly there are a number of things you highlight as reasons why you have stayed which align with my point.

I actually believe each country has its benefits to try and balance the negatives out...some like the US and UK are quickly disappearing. This is why people (like myself) have chosen to leave what we see as a sinking ship and adapt to other cultures through legal channels. Many cultures of course have deep historical interest, importance and warmth which can become far more rewarding than others.

The healthcare system of the NHS has and probably will be for some time...a joke in comparison to what i have experienced elsewhere. Another reason why many have left. I would definitely call the UK countryside as 'ugly' compared to the beaches and mountains elsewhere.

I enjoy this part of the forum for the diversity of its views (when you remove the hatred and brainwashing that has been created by evil people and large organisations profiting from the sheep) which typically come from those still stuck in a life with limited reward. Unfortunately those views are extremely one sided and there is no room for open mindedness or logic...solely abuse and accusations.

The football of course is a different kettle of fish but i would never sacrifice anything to live in the UK to watch Everton. Happy to 'enjoy' from afar and perhaps with the new stadium fly back and see if anything has improved....certainly hadnt the last time.

You are the definition of someone who is nasty all the way throughout their being -- while believing they are "a good person".

When you illegally manage to plant a nest in a communist or muslim country then perhaps you can have an ounce of relevancy...try to teach them your beliefs as you are so "good" and see what happens.

Or be off to czech rep and others to explore the local delights where a tip goes a long way and they will put a smile on your face until the time runs out or you help with a visa ;)
