People treat politics almost like football teams...

This is how in feel. Debate is shut down because you make allowances for you side and then jump on anything from the opposition.
I’m have started to see tribalism even in sports supporting as gateway viewing life in completely “ black and. White” rather than the shades of grey that life is

The day I require advice from a Boris Johnson fanboy I’ll give you a signal.

Something subtle, like me being sectioned under the mental health act.

Your own post…

“Seems to me that whatever they do, a section of the public will attack them regardless.

It’s all very tiresome and nothing more than tribal politics.”

Or is it only tiresome tribalism when someone else is doing it…Q.E.D……

Burdened by excessive regulation and taxation, let down by underperforming public services, and utterly disillusioned by a political class more focused on micromanaging life than delivering on the essentials.

Rinse and repeat.
Trouble it's Google saying it. The company which has the term "Google tax" named after it due to the practice of diverting profits to avoid paying paying tax. Has been dragged through the courts by various countries because of its tax avoidance, including UK.

Sadly deliberate side effect of First Past the Post adversarial politics and keeps head of state relevant. Still saying that, have an aversion looking at Mordor at night just get bad thoughts about them every time, im tribal alright.

I wonder which laws have been scrapped? A big part of their agenda was to make house building easier and infrastructure projects less ridiculously costly and lengthy to complete.
There's some things which while appearing helpful have been introduced in haste.

The 24/7 NHS 111 Mental health line being one of them.

There is also rhetoric around reducing laws that "hold back business" which makes me nervous.

From the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Report"
"The government’s deregulatory agenda... dominated the department’s thinking to such an extent that even matters affecting the safety of life were ignored, delayed or disregarded."
