….its about time they honoured the findings of pay review boards.
Agreed, it is time the atmosphere of animosity was addressed and the state honoured it's commitments to it's people, and not the hot shots like truss and her cronies first and only.
The apparent choice between this option and a similar sum for the two child policy extended to three isn't going away. I can see the logic of paying more salary because it's taxable, so like all politicians do, they give with one hand then take with the other. Fiscal drag of the tax bands will be interesting if they get moved at all. There simply has to be the improved circumstances for all those neglected under the tory scum. It'll be gradual, had there been mountains of money sat waiting to be used for valuable services it would have been pilfered by mone and gove and co already.

interbred tory scum filth. Never forget.

To see a government finally giving backing of pay rises to people in the public sector is long, long overdue. I work in the education sector and to see what the Tory government have done a lone to that sector is nothing short of a disgrace. Every year the funding becomes less and less. You’ve got people coming out of uni and because schools are over flooded, learners out of control and terrible pay, they drop out after a few years because they can’t cope.

Hopefully the ones in mainstream education get the pay they deserve. Hopefully the funding can go to actually filling schools up with the right people teaching subjects that they are specialised in.

Heartening to see/hear, but I'll be very interested to see quite how the go about this:

It's not just the money question its about not falling into the same holes New Labour did by marketizing schools which some, at the time, found created problems they were trying to solve.

Introduced in April 2017 by the previous mess of a government. I am amazed there is no long term thread here for those so deeply affected, such is the strength of feeling shown now over this.

And the continuity government has kept it going.
It's a very poor situation, and is causing a lot of harm. Sadly they did say they wouldn't fix things or make promises without costed guarantees. This is the terrible position we have been landed in by the tory scum. Let's sack the army navy and raf off and go neutral like Switzerland to cover it?
