Here's a short publicity clip for the Labour candidate in my son & daughter's ward, Sprowston, in Norwich. Daughter has been working for the Labour candidate for around the last 3 months as diary secretary and a whole lot more in her spare time. She features at 0:10 and 1:18. Let's hope I get the phone call around 3 tomorrow morning saying her Labour candidate has won.

Good luck to her

9.6 million people voted for Starmers Party.

Lower than both 2017 and 2019 when Corbyn led the Labour party....much lower in the case of 2017 when 13 million were attracted to the party.
Yes but Starmer's party won.
Got 200+ more seats
Fact.
No prizes for second place in this game.

It's like trying to say lampard s Everton had crowds of 38,000
Kendal only got 28,000 through the doors of Goodison
so lampard was the better man.
Like lampard ,Corbyn will be rememberd as a decent fella who was out of his depth and a loser.
Starmer and Howard as winners.

I take it you're joining me in giving huge credit then for Starmer and his campaign team to win a majority like that off a reduced vote total?

Or was your point something else?

How did it go
Wonderful! My son was on the phone to me for a few hours watching things unfold and chatting about various things as they occurred. He's a local Labour councillor. Both shocked at Mordaunt losing her seat (but pleased, because she appeared to be the one Tory with any kind of intelligence), and disappointed that Hunt clung on by 20 votes.

The Pussers Rum was superb as well!

Deep joy!!!

Turnout was the lowest since 1945 too, from what I've seen.
