Mr White Sir, do you think that people suddenly stopped taking personal responsibility under the Conservative government? Why might they take more personal responsibility under a labour government?

Personal responsibility, over many years, transcends government responsibility... the government of the day has short term thinking, promises and policy's. They come and go... Nobody cares about you and your family as much you do. Plan for it.

This guy is the most obnoxious, arrogant and condescending t**t I come across on social media...

Right from the off, of this clip at least, blaming the Tories for the life expectancy issue... no mention of personal responsibility. Stalling/falling life expectancy is largely down to lifestyle choices, mostly made when we are adults. Too much drinking, not enough physical activity, eating a crap, ultra-processed diet, and sometimes, a combination of all of the above.

As for his parenting comments, yes I agree, not all parents can help with eating disorders and mental health issues, and do need support from the state. And access to dentists can be difficult. But, you don't need to be in 'in a position of great privilege and wealth' to know the basics, such as daily brushing of teeth and potty training of toddlers is important!

Our teachers shouldn't be using their time changing nappies and brushing teeth. On the odd occasion, where needed and appropriate, then fine. But this shouldn't be the norm.
You are right mate, the Tories have nothing to do with society and the services that support us going down the drain. 👍

Maybe one day Starmer will find the honesty that runs through the tories.

Those pesky lifestyle choices again, like living on the streets, ah well, at least there have been powers granted to their gestapo so that now the pigs/scum/filth/police can harass and arrest the homeless.

Bravo!

physical activity? who sold all the school playing fields?
eating crap? who got a good hiding from Marcus Rashford over free school meals?
ultra-processed diet? who owns these brands pushing this poison and why then isn't there regulation to prevent it?
access to dentists can be difficult? try impossible unless wealthy enough for private. nhs dentists are over subscribed into the next century.

I understand, it's the schools that are to blame, and the teachers therein. So, picked a fight with - the nurses, the doctors, the universities, the fire brigade, domestic naval crew, junior doctors, local councils, dentists, single parents, homeless, children, teachers, and refugees. Brilliant. Is there anyone I've missed off of your list of targets? (ofc there is - benefit claimants, the disabled, the elderly, the young, the working poor, veterans, protestors, trans people, addicts, rape victims, prisoners, former incarcerated, motorists, hot meal enjoyers, spare* bedrooms, unpaid carers, the civil service, social workers, social care, the natural world) but really, are all bases covered here....? tut, I've done it again... sub post office masters, thalidomide victims, the blood scandal sufferers (the dead, the dying and all of the families!), the 97 and their families, come on let's keep going... let's get it all in the open....

tory britain, it's an awful lot worse than you could ever imagine!

the bbc, channel 4, the woke, Steven Lawrence's family, women in government complaining that some oaf is watching porn in the commons, charities, communists, black people not appreciating being harassed, rivers streams and the sea, Windrush, the victorians, the weather, returned sold off toxic waste, farmers, the minimum wage, and libtards.

Now that will knock years of anyone.

"Love to the family Colin, love to the family"

How? Most people, most, would mortgage to what they could afford but have no control over the rate rises, even with a buffer, a lot are as 'maxed out' as it is.

Others have had no real alternative to 'aspire' (remember that buzzword?), than to over reach on their financial capabilities. To say 'plan for it' is disingenuous and reeks of arrogant, uninformed snobbery.
