The option is to spend via government borrowing + taxation and get a green economy with all those new industries and skills off the ground. Actually this is what the Starmer gangsters talked up until very lately. Now it's all about empty cupboards and no commitment to capital spending projects.

If Starmer wants growth then he needs to invest. But he's all about winning over Tory voters now so that's all in the bin.

The Green Party and their economic programme? Go and google it lazy arse.

Government borrowing and taxation. So two of your three policies have been hardened Tory policy for 14 years that have failed miserably. Quadrupled the debt and saddled us with the highest tax burden since WW2.
And your answer...your socialist answer... is more of the same Tory policy, is it?

Pretty disappointed in your lack of imagination here. A lot of Tories do like status quo.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say @davek is not a Tory.

Based on what? The word of a poster known for being a filthy deceptive trolling horror?

I asked you the other day and you never answered, are you actually a member of the Labour Party?

I'd assumed the thumbs up would be easy enough to understand.

Or do you just like calling people shadow Tories? Cause that achieves nothing.

Allowing tory propogandists to have a free run at splitting the Labour vote does have the potential to achieve something though.

They will get to him with the lies they print and try to destroy his familys name.
This is the reason he's tried to engage with them. Many don't like it, I understand why, but that's the place we find ourselves.

Corbyn was absolutely right in his criticism of the press and power in this country but also a bit stupid/naive to say labour were coming for them. Any slim chance of some sensible coverage went out of the window.

Milliband was more neutral and got flayed too. Blair had it relatively easy. But he consciously tried to placate the right wing media.

As I say, it's not a healthy place to be, but it's where we are.

He's ludicrous mate. I think he even knows it himself.

The way to get the tories out is to try and split the vote of the one party capable of beating them?

Or the best hope of keeping the tories in is to split the vote of the one party capable of beating them?

Let us think about this 🤔

He is not a Tory though, he might be other things but he is not one of them.

A lot of traditionally Labour voters actaully voted for the Tories at the last election. Quite a few didn't like Corbyn for various reasons, they also wanted Brexit sorted as they thought it would improve their lives.
would be very surprised if any of these voters are likely to vote Labour again as well. A lot of Northern seats will become swing seats or lost for a generation

They went after Milliband's Dad with vile hatred, even a hint of antisemitism in its reporting.

A few years later and Labour party was full of antisemitism according to reports.

The printed media will throw Starmer and Labour under the bus when the Election campaign starts.

I suspect Dave's perspective would be to invest in public infrastructure and the social good.

Whereas this load of scrotes have managed to up debt, disinvestment in public infrastructure and the public good, but manage to divert a lot into profiteers pockets. Often their mates.
