Its why it is so much harder to present a united front on the left, its because we have morals and certain bridges we won't cross.

On the right the only thing that matters is power and greed so you can basically switch position on any other issue as none of them actually mean anything to them.

Utter big dangliesThis isn't about morals.

This was an amendment was to ask the government to press for a ceasefire.

That's literally a call along the lines of , hey Ben would you mind awfully stopping killing Palestinians for a bit.

No!

Well we've asked, actually solved and changed literally nothing but carried out the request.

It's absolutely the most monumentally stupid inept and inane thing to do!

It was a general point not specifically about that amendment.

But I would still entirely disagree with you.

Indeed, however, makes some feel morally superior about their conscience and principles and thats what its all about, and yeh shame about innocent Gaza people and innocent Israelis . Next vanity project...

Your head has gone.

This is just bog standard political process at play. It's only making news because Starmer has made a mess of this.

Although Starmer will argue he is trying to save lifes with a pause rather than wasting Westminster time and tax payer with meaningless political process, but clearly see how easy morality principle and conscience are for some. My head is firmly on shoulders unlike in Gaza, today tomorrow...

The 'Labour' 'rebels' last night.

Apart from those Muslim MPs who were doing it from a moral standpoint, the whole think looked like a set up to take the sting out of Gaza for any MP who has a large Muslim electorate in their constituency.

There's way too many stories about 'Labour' MPs who didn't 'rebel' hugging and consoling'Labour' MPs who did 'rebel' in the lobbies after the vote.

Starmer and his team were on board with all that. No question. It was co-ordinated.

Now Starmer is the great political strategist of the dark arts... This thread is golden...
