oh go on then... ?

Well, they have. Look at the people they’ve deselected across the country. They’re purging the party of genuine left wing, progressive policies.

Look at how starmer piggybacked on the popular policies of the last regime only to go back on everything he campaigned for when going for the leadership.

I voted for him to become leader, he’s gone back on everything he said he would offer.

I will try and do whatever it takes to get the Tories out as I especially dread how far they would sink if they get the mandate again given the state they are in. If they can do what they’ve been doing for the last 13 years and win again it’s just going to get even worse.

I’m in a very safe Labour seat (Starmer is my MP) so I could vote for someone else I guess but I don’t want to take the risk.

Oh Christ, this is how they win again, isnt it.

FFS.

I understand really I do, KS isnt what we need, but my God, hes got to be better than them, surely?
Well aye but it’s a short term fix. If you’re left wing it’s a disaster long term as everyone will continue to repeat that only a ‘centrist’ Labour Party can get elected. I struggle to even see what’s left wing at all about this party apart from some sound bites to keep people interested.

They running on the hope that they’ll be elected by just not being the tories which could have terrible consequences. Have no idea what their policies are or what they stand for.

Voted Labour all my life. Voted for starmer as leader.

I can’t vote for these anymore with starmer in charge. I want my vote to mean something so it’s going to the independent community party.

On a local level Labour have been terrible also when you look at the corruption in the city.

Anything but the tories means we have no genuine alternative.

People shouldn’t be guilted or shamed into moving away from the Labour Party.

The main thing is that the Tory’s get booted. Whether that’s a lab / lib / green coalition I honestly couldn’t give a fk.

Anybody who puts an X in a box for the corrupt, thieving, incompetent Tory rats at the next GE is an absolute scumbag. It really is that simple.

He isn't though, that's just it.

He's in fact worse than them. Not only is he a Tory to the core of his policies, electing his party removes all hope that things can be significantly different.

This is the Manchurian Candidate.

He's filth.

The main thing is to get a non-Tory government. You wont get that with Neo-Con Labour.

Correct.

A Labour Council on its knees prostrate before Whitehall manadarins doing their neo-con bidding carrying out cuts to services; a national Labour Party outflanking the Tories by watering down workers rights, environmental spending, u-turning on abolition of tuition fees, taxing highest earners, levying the revenue of tech companies, ending universal credit.

It's unconscionable to vote Labour now.

Vote Green or abstain.

This is why the Tories win. They get that being in power is more important than principles so hold their nose accordingly. You'd think the left would get that by now. I mean they haven't exactly hidden the fact.

I get that, I voted starmer to become leader because I realised the party needed to move towards the centre to be more electable.

I even agree with it up to a point.

But the Labour Party on a local and national level has let me down, so I’m making my vote count for once instead of blindly voting for a party that doesn’t offer anything meaningful.

I think starmer is well aware of Tory tactics, infact he's following them.
More interested in power than in policy.

Being in power is key though. The Tories fully understand this thus the constant mess we are in as the only credible alternative party consistently tears itself apart. I am sure Starmer understands this.
I am not saying that I think this is what I'd like, as mentioned in many threads, I think the current political system is broken and more suited to the Victorian era and easily manipulated.
