I suppose for me there is both what the government does and how it does it. Domestically, the Tories have done naff all since 2019, yet they're on their knees because of how they've gone about their job, so just pledging to reinject some honesty, decency, and accountability into government would go a bloody long towards convincing many people, as it's those things that have so turned them off of the Tories.

There are lots of things Labour could do to differentiate themselves from the Tories, but I would regard nationalising stuff in the same way I'd regard "reversing Brexit". It's not a vote winner, and it would be a very short memory indeed if people forget that Corbyn got an absolute thumping at the last election on that kind of "extreme" ticket.

There also has to be a very real consideration being given to the fact that we might have a coalition government with the LDs, Greens and SNP. That remains the most realistic way of ensuring the Tories don't get back in, and that would require some compromises and a more centrist ticket than hardcore Labour members would undoubtedly like. That wouldn't make them "Tories" though, or even "Tory lite", and it's a bit childish to throw those accusations about.
Classic meaningless technocrat nonsense. Politics based on optics is as deplorable as politics guided by selfishness.

Inspire people with an alternative vision for the country. You never know, it might actually make it a better place to live.

I'm curious why you think Johnson has been removed from office? Do you think his vision wasn't inspiring enough or something?

Because we have had 12 years of Tory lies, corruption and deceit.

The country is on its arse because of them, with all they have bestowed upon the nation, starting with the austerity lie, followed by the Brexit lie then the various other multitude of lies and deceit which have followed.

I mean, surely that’s reason alone why we need change.
Look at the record of New Labour, led the Brits into war in Iraq, brought in ATOS medical examinations that made the close to death seek work.

Long time ago isn't it? I'm 42 and the only Labour government I've ever experienced was Blair/Brown, and they apparently weren't proper Labour.
No, they certainly were not.
otherwise they would have repealed some of those appalling Thatcher anti Union and employment laws.
So, you've never experienced life under anything other than a free market capitalist regime.

Still banging on about Iraq? Surprised you didn’t follow that up with the previous gold reserves as most Tory bores seem to do.

13 years ago mate. I mean you can keep being selective about how far you want to go back I suppose, but it doesn’t give you much credibility.
