Donovan also had some footballing qualities in him, which is something SWP is lacking these days. I really hope we won't spend any money on him.

I'd be happy with SWP, personally. He's a decent footballer, has pace and can get you 8-9 goals a season. The fact that he can run with the ball and commit players alone would improve us and certainly give us more options. We are painfully predictable at times.

Gueye? Vic? Osman? To be fair Moyes would play them and we can say if one of our players got chopped we'd be screwed.
Swp is not like he was years ago. His crossing is below average and he'll have 10minutes of playing like a talented player. And he's on 60k+ a week! For a bench warmer? Or would he be a first teamer for that money?

Not sure about Aguero - various sources in Spain are claiming they are after Fernando Llorente, but their offer was rejected by player and Athletic Bilbao club.

Maybe mate, i still think he has a lot to offer if im honest, i think he offers something we have lacked which is pace, penetration and a high skill base - he would also be a usefull support player on the break, as much of our midfeild lack genuine raw pace to support quick strikers in Saha and Beckford.. He also has expierence which at this stage of the season is vital. Its a no brainer for me, on loan. If he flops then goodbye Shaun, if hes a hit then hes burned a few bridges at City recently and they are trying to bring their wages down and recycle the squad with young players - so it wouldnt be that compicated. I think he came close to joining us before going back to City.
To be honest i think he would start most times, if he comes he would hardly move from City not getting games to us and not get games.

They have had 3 bids turned down for 3 different strikers. They bid for aguero, Llorente and rossi. All rejected. I think they said villarreal will accept 35m
