I absolutely hate this unfounded idea that either of the clubs on merseyside are in any way involved with sectarianism, leave that sort or disgraceful behaviour to Celtic and Rangers, Everton aren't catholic and and they aren't protestant and this is just a boss looking kit that references our heritage.
Anyone upset by it needs to get a grip, it's a football kit, it's not a political statement, it wasn't a statement when it was used in the 1800s and we all know it's not now. Ultimately we don't know exactly what colour was used back in the day and this is a nod to our history without upsetting some fans by it being "Liverpool" red.
