Played well as one of two holding midfeilders, played deeper then i have seen a DM ever play for us at times, almost like a fifth defender come midfeilder. Anyway he and Rodwell i thought really complemented each other although i didnt think Yesterday was Jacks best game - their distribution is excellent though. The pleasing thing is we looked solid, the first time in a long time we can say that. Jonny H has a touch of the mad dog Gravesons about him doesnt he - with the wide pulsating vein on the side of his head.

If we can perform like that (though i know we have more in the tank) we are going to be competitive for Europe.

*Super Lee Carsley was ace!

I with you Neiler my old son Cars was cool................

As for Heitingar I agree with all the positives shown above but.................why did he leave Atletico so soon after signing for them..........any one know why because he was highly thought of thereb)

Thats a good question mate Atlethico payed close to 9 mill for him from Ajax, i can only think they didnt rate him, needed the cash or had a young player coming through.

From what i remember Atlethico wanted to sell but Jonny stalled.

I'm quite sure Heitinga was stating on Dutch television, that Atletico desperately needed the money. After Everton made their interest public to Athletico, Heitinga was told he wasn't allowed to leave. He came out saying in the media, that he was happy in Madrid and had no intentions of leaving. A few hours later, he was informed by the management, they were close to accepting a transferfee with Everton.

Thanks Dutch, interesting that(y)

Surprised to see Heitinga doing well in England, I always thought it's a boring and crap league where a certain two faced tranny can be a superstar but never thought a donkey like Heitinga can play at good level.

Good luck to him and Everton, hope you beat ManU and the cheaters from analfiled.
