I wish i shared the optimism for hism that you guys seem to.
He just doesn't seem right to me.
I can see him either being a liabilty on the pitch making silly mistakes and getting booked loads or taking shandys stool at the bar of the outcasts who don't fit in with our team spirit.

I'm hoping for the best, tbh. I'm basing my expectations on the fact he's a Dutch international and has played for some very well known European clubs. I cant help thinking back, though, to Dutch Toffee's reservations over him before he signed regarding positional sense and pace.

He barely touched the ball to be fair.
I'm expecting him to be a solid player, not brilliant, but perfectly capable at both right back and hopefully, defensive midfield.
He doesn't look big enough to be a centre back, he's smaller than I thought. He's not even around Jagielka's size who's probably one of the smallest centre back's in the League.
