Hope he's afforded time to adapt.
Remember Jagielka was sort of similar perception position wise when he came?
Was painful watching him playing in def mid.
Proved a lot of belters wrong though, you know who you are.

One has faith in this feller.

Alot of other fans are touting that he could be one of the buys of the season.

Not hyping him up to death but he certainly looks like he's got the spuds to be a monster. Lescott who?

He better perform then because that's a lot of money to us, i just hope this doesn't mean that other players will demand wage increases.

Dangerous or overdue?

I think overdue, Can we attract the type of player that people bang on about on various forums and blogs and stuff with the salary cap of £40K

people come up with some cracking ideas (yeh realy) who we should buy and who is the dogs boooolacks etc etc..but at the end of the day if the money aint right we aint gonner get them.

I for one am made up that this "salary cap" has been broken, I mean did this ever exsist anyway? only BK or DM can answer this I mean there was probably an unwritten rule maybe that wages would not go above £40k (if they could help it)but they probably knew that if needed, they could break it.

Before you say the like of Jags, arteta, the yak will be banging on the door...they have all been injured and all are not yet fit. Go and sh!te I say if any of them think they can now maybe think about spitting their dummy out cause they were once the "top earner" at the club........... I know they have done it for the club in the past, but that for me is in the past and they all have very good contracts at the moment. Do it again when your all fit and then, maybe then you can hike your already mental wages upa little.
peace out brother....rant over

Says the right things doesnt he:

"I can't wait to work with him. He is a great coach and has already been with the club for several years," said the Dutchman. "He has proven how good he is, especially over the last few seasons.

"Some people are surprised I've moved from Spain after only one year, but I want to play in the Premier League.

"It was a difficult decision, especially as I have already played Champions League qualifiers with Atletico and can't play in Europe for Everton, but everything about this move feels good.

"I think the Premier League will fit me better. It will suit my game better than the Spanish League. I can play both right-back and centre-back, so the manager can play me in either role."
