According to someone on Kipper:

'Just heard Moyes on radio mersey's [Poor language removed] friday night everton thing...said there was no progress to report on the banega deal.Said he has a work permit but hasn't been able to finalise a deal with the club as of yet. Didn't sound very happy about it either; seems valencia have messed us about.'

If we do get Heitinga for 5 million then hopefully Moyes has got around 15 million to spend on a central midfielder.

I really do hope that's his plan. If Valencia are going to leave it til deadline day and then possibly not give us Banega, we can't really take that chance.
 
If I had a penny for every transfer rumor I'd seen on here, I'd have Bill Gates making my shoes looks like mirrors about now, I usually wait until a signing has actually occured before I take real notice but, there seems little harm in snooping around before the window latches.

personal feelings aside I had no knowledge of this player until I saw it mentioned here, did some research and found that 25 year old Heitinger is now with Atletico Madrid as stated and is as said, Dutch with six goals in around fifty international appearances.

Oh yes, defensive player.
I wonder if he will actually arrive through the doors. hmm.

He's said he's be very, very dissapointed if he didn't get atleast two in. I'm guessing one is a centre back which would make us strong at the back.

The other has got to be a midfielder hasn't it really?
