PROBLEM SOLVED
Wouldn't work one bit, getting eaten alive through the middle.
Many teams have utilised a 3-4-3 formation (Van Caals Ajax wonder team of the early 90's, Alberto Zacherronis Ac Milan, the orignal dutch total philosophy was built on this as well) and it worked wonders if implemented well. However there would be no place for full backs; its normally 3 centre backs, an anchor man, 3 box to box mifielders, 2 wide men and a striker; the team plays a high line, when in possesion the centre halfs spread, leaving a diamond shape and allowing for easy coverage of any long balls played through:
-----------CB--------
CB-----------------CB
-----------AM--------
Once possion is lost, the AM and 2 wide CB come close together with the third, and deeper CB acting as a sweeper.
----------CB------
----CB---AM---CB
The main driving point is the high line the team plays, it allows for constant pressure when not in possession. Watch Barca and how they close down
