The Joel Robles Fanboy Thread.

This guy is not the solution long term, but he is miles better than Howard now, and should play.

Couldn't agree more. Guy deserves a run in the team! But like Howard/Barry and possibly a few others, they're the teachers pets! Martinez will never drop them:mad:

I'm not a Robles fan at all, but he was harshly treated by Martinez. If the defence and keeper are keeping clean sheets why change it???

Joel and Tim gin in the summer please.
I'd be perfectly happy for Joel to stay as back up.

The problem I find these days is, is that here, I've criticised Tim's performance and ability - however, some will read this as a personal attack on him, which it isn't.

I like the fella, he just ain't nowhere near good enough for us, be it temporary or for good.

Barring injury to Howard I doubt It mate. Martinez has made a rod for his own back the way he brought Howard back so can't see him dropping him for Robles as that would mean he's accepting he made an utterly ridiculous call.

Not only that, the pressure would really be on Joel then.

Joel came into the team due to Howard's injury and there were very low expectations on the teraces.

But he played his way into our affections with a string of solid performances culminating in the now legendary three clean sheets in a row.

Joel was growing into the role.

If the worst was to come to the worst this season, the totally uneccesssry and bizarre decision to fetch Howard, a man who had been having a dreadful season anyway, back into the team would go down as the main reason for it.

Just as the ship looked to be righting itself, the skipper sailed straight back into the choppy waters.

Why, Bobby?

Pretty much the highlight of the season.
