To be fair, De Gea when he first came in made a few clangers. Young keepers do and will, but so do experienced keepers like Howard, check prety much any of his games this season. Joel has earned the right to be #1.

De Gea was absolutely shocking when he came to ManU. It took some time that he got it together.


Just look at Joel...He's a proper keeper him. Big and strong...Im delighted that he has shown a middle finger to us doubters! !

He's Definitely earned his place and i hope he keeps Beards in the bench

Still a bit early to be singing all high praise, but he is slowly winning me over.

....he certainly deserves a run in the team now. There will probably be a mistake or two and maybe even a howler but it might be worth persisting, he's a fantastic size and shape for a top keeper.

He didn't have a clue what he was doing. Don't get me wrong, good shot stopping tonight, looked more competent than Howard in a number of areas, but absolutely nobody mentioned something that nearly cost us a soft goal and indeed has done in the recent past.

It wasn't just that incident too - he did it again and Jagielka went mad at him later in the first half for it.

You'll disagree but that was Coleman's fault.

Didn't pick up Sterling who went outside him.

For that he deserves to keep his place in the team, doesn't make him the better keeper though.
