The Greatest

The heavyweights aren't my favourites but I must say Ali v Tyson would've been some fight. Ali's treatment of Frazier was shocking and belittling and no one can doubt Joe had the heart of a lion. That said, Ali was a one off and when you include the whole package he probably was "the greatest". For me, our generation was lucky enough to witness the greatest time in boxing history when God gave us the bestlightmiddle and middleweights in history,Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Curry and Sugar Ray all at the same time.

An amazing athlete, but I can never forgive him for the way he portrayed Joe Frazier - a good, honest fighter without the media savvy or clout of Ali - as an Uncle Tom. Frazier was anything but.

He went to his grave hating Ali, and understandably so. Ironically, in trying to take the moral high-ground, Ali played to the white man's gallery.

I feel the same. I don't regard him as the greatest either. Admittedly if he'd have boxed through the years he missed I probably would have.
