Indoctrinated? You've lost me there.

As for supporting prevention of cruelty to animals, you are not really supporting it if you deride those that mention it - quite the opposite in fact.

the way i look at it is that its a little bit over the top for someone to mention a topic, in this case Aintree, and then the anti topic comes in. I support it yeah, but im not going to jump on the topic just to push the point, especially on a forum when people simply want to swap tips.

I get it and dont take it as me being a tit towards you mate, really dont want to sound that way. Trying to carefully pick my words here to prevent that! lol

This place isn't RAWK. Alternate points of view are allowed - except in the politics thread.

aye, im all for protecting the animals. just annoys me that its Liverpools own racecourse that makes the animal cruelty posters come out.

i mean as much as its a race, its not takeshis castle for horses.

You're deffo onto something here. Get Craig Charles on the blower, see if he's free.

Also (not directed at anyone in particular) can we keep this positive and not dredge up the tired debate of animal cruelty. Start a new thread for that if need be...

haha you could have fooled me.

apparantly our season only started 3 games ago and anyone who was slightly worried/not happy should be paraded through the streets :p

but seriously mate, not arguing against the point, thats what im trying to say here.

Sorry if animals dying in agony as a byproduct of your entertainment is inconvenient for you. It is a part of Aintree - you know, the subject of the thread.

I will be attending on the Thursday as per usual - Saturday is an amazing experience but it's just too hectic for my liking.

Thursday offers a quieter and friendly atmosphere than the horrific Friday, but still an enjoyable outing with much better racing overall.

As the Chief Executive of the course once mentioned to me... "You could fire an Exocet at the Lord Sefton on the Friday and not kill a lady".

I presume that posting pictures of scantily clad ladies and making comment on them in this thread will be acceptable though. I mean when we are talking about Aintree we have got to get our priorities right haven't we?

Read the OP. That set the tone.

You can take notice of my recommendation or not as you see fit. No skin off my nose. You're much more likely to be able to have a sensible debate on animal welfare wrt horse racing and Aintree in particular in a seperate thread though.

Won't even rise to the bait here. You've been quiet all year about this issue, start an animal rights thread if you genuinely care and aren't just trying to argue.
What bait? Somehow, it's now bait if people mention something you don't want to hear?

Yeah, let's not talk about things in the round - warts and all. No need for context, let's section things off and and put the unpalatable bits over there where we can ignore them. Let's keep this thread for mammary glands and tips, after all, that's what Aintree's all about - no horses involved at all.

In fairness it's a thread about horse tips and pervage at Any ladies day filth .

Start another thread about horse meat in cottage pies and stuff. The national gets safer every year
