I wonder how many horses will be battered and/or shot as a part of the 'entertainment'. Someone was going to say it, and that someone is me.

That doesn't mean I won't have £1 on it though.

My mate has a job there, just looking at kegs to see when they need changing. Easy money.

Now neither the horse racing lovers nor the anti grand national crew will want to be friends with you.

Ive had £5ew on Oscar time:
Positives: loves the track, won the trail, the jockey has a great record, getting better with age.
Negative: a horse this old hasn't won the race (I don't think?)

At 50/1 I can't see anything at better value for a place

He is very hard to ignore. Literally nothing goes against him except his age, but he won that race over the national fences a couple of months back without breaking a sweat. He'll be thereabouts.

My national picks

unioniste 25/1

First lieutenant 25/1

And going with Oscar time on the advice of this thread 50/1

Backed Goonyella at 25-1, won the Midlands national last month pretty easily. So should do the trip, but would want a bit of cut in the ground.

Backed him a few weeks ago.

Haha, there's some rough birds in there but,

there's something about a woman with a whip in her hand.
