I'm a big fan of historical fiction and a big fan of this author. His Caesar and Genghis Khan series are brilliant reads as well. This one is the first in a series about the Tudors and is beginning with the reign of Henry the VI and covers all of the reasons why the war of the roses came to be. There's a load of characters in this one and I have a feeling there will be time skips as well so it could get confusing but I'm enjoying it right now.

excellent book.think i have seen it on here before.it is the second book of a 5 part series on genghis khan and his family.didn't think i would like them but once you starting reading them, very hard to put down.

I had thought it was a trilogy that ended with Genghis and was very happy to find there were two other books about Ogedai and Kublai a month ago. Devoured them and moved onto Stormbird War Of The Roses.

what genghis dies?no point reading on now thanks mate!!!

only messing :p:p:pya for some reason when i started thought it was only about genghis so delighted now it keeps going with his sons.

Can anyone recommend a good read? Thriller, can't put it down type of thing...

I haven't been able to find anything as engrossing as the Stieg Larsson trilogy since I finished them a few years ago.

Ya it seemed like it had come to a conclusion and then I was looking up new stuff and found the other two books.

Have you ever read anything by Jack Whyte? He does a good few historical series (Arthur, Templars, William Wallace Rebellions), I'm also a fan of Bernard Cornwell's Uhtred of Bebbanburg series.
