Haha. What I meant is that I can see Johnson say that he admires Corbyns principles even though he disagrees with them, and he was an early mover on all things green, sommet like that.

I honestly cant see what Corbyn would say in response. He was ok on HIGNFY?

that he likes buses

Haha. Like even when May stepped down, folk who had trashed her for years could still say they admired her resolve or honour or sommet. I cant stand pretty much every RS footballer, but with the exception of Hughes, I could drag up a nice word about most of them at their demise.

I just hope they get asked to do so.

Corbyn has to do a few things tonight. He has to be impassioned to throw life into his yet to start campaign to get his base enthused. But he also has to come across as a reasonable man, a non-threat to middle England, completely change the perception about him.

He needs to make Johnson look like a petulant child.

It's not beyond him, but he needs a big performance here. I don't think the debate itself will change voting intentions immediately, but it's Corbyn's best chance to build momentum.

Agreed. Hope calls out Johnson for what he is, in a calm and measured manner.

I don't think he'll need to. If he's smart, when Johnson attacks (and he will, because he's thick), he'll just answer calmly and rationally and not bite. People will see the contrast.

The charge against Corbyn is that he's an extremist lunatic. He needs to simply be the total opposite of that.

It won't change my vote as I won't vote for Corbyn, but objectively it's quite obvious what he needs to do.

What would be "threats to middle england?" Haven't seen any threats of troops going into Derby to root out the EDL yet. lollollol

But the things he is passionate about, rightly or wrongly, many people simply are not.
