I can't really understand Swinson's point in all of it. They are going to have a multi-party debate which she will be involved in. However a party that won 12 seats at the last election (only 2 years ago) is hardly going to be treated to parties that won 20 times that number.

Because the polls have them at 16%, with Swinson herself comparable to Corbyn in the 'who would you like to be the next PM' stakes.

Yes but Corbyns appeal to the electorate is very low. Its some achievement to to be polling as badly as Corbyn in the likeability ratings. In fact YouGov puts her at 12% positive rating, which is significantly lower than Corbyn.

Just went on the latest BritainElects data, which had him at 16% of the country want him to be PM, with Swinson at 15%. Polls are polls and all that, but when it seems wholly likely that there will be a minority government, the decision to omit the party most likely to king make seems peculiar.

I will however store up the 'you can't complain about what private media companies do' line whenever a Corbynite next moans about how he's treated in the press.

I think the mantra is 'throw mud at everyone that's not the Tories'
Might help if there was a discernible difference apart from Brexit so it's a case striking two birds with one stone, Conservative Liberal two peas in a pod. However, liberals have been piling into Labour, so addresses some of the written imbalance...

Time to complain, when its happening to an opponent that would be a well founded principle, otherwise its opportunism. Conservative and Liberals want eye for an eye politics, well you have it now.

I agree the SNP should be in these debates, albeit with Blackford rather than Sturgeon.

It may have done the LD's a favour. Swinson does come across ( to me, at least) as a bit of a shouty know all.
She's a disaster.

The LDs will be where they were before this election pretty much and she'll have to get out from behind Brexit and show what her vision is: which is neo-liberalism.

Oh and so will the Tories too. They'll get their Brexit vote this time, but the reason people wanted Brexit was to stop the type of post-Brexit future they dream of implementing here.

Here we go!
He was impressive on Andrew Marr show. Had a real grasp of facts. Marr talked over him but did not challenge his facts and figures. Our current leader can only remember his last fat meal or sad conquest. There is a lot I dont like about Corbyn but he is decent and wants a decent society. A million miles away from the right wing cronies and their friends in the city.

Here is a genuine question.. what has happened to the LD Brexit supporters? Apparently according to YouGov, 32% of LDs voted for Brexit. While this may be lower than the other main parties, its still 1/3rd of their support base. Now that they're basically an anti-Brexit movement, have the former LD-Brexiters deserted them?
