It would keep us breathing down the necks of the elite IMO.
wouldnt take a lot more really, felli is a good player , but not one we cant replace, maybe get a midfielder and a striker , to do the jobs he is asked to do, might get a few bob in for one or two others and nev off the wage bill, we would need at least four others in to procress , squads to small so we cant go just for like for like, its not impossible depends how he feels about it, and if he got freedom to spend all the money, plus we dont know what has gone on behind the scenes that could affect his desire, or in fact if the board want him to carry on, intresting all the same

Very negative outlook.

Wigan win was a cup game it happens. If we played then tomorrow with the same team we'd probably win. The keeper problem hasn't helped.

Liverpool and Arsenal will have a go but European football isn't the end of the world anyway. Additional can and most likely will go against us.

Not with Neville and Osman centre mid we wouldn't.

Don't get that bit. He's done nothing wrong.

And I actually reckon if we played Wigan again tomorrow with the same team the same thing would happen. How many huge games do you need us to choke before you realise Moyes can't manage big games?

It's not negative. It's fact.

It's not fact though is it. Explain how it's fact? That team should have easily turned Wigan over.

No matter how you look at Mucha I don't trust him to keep us in a game. I feel a lot lot safer with Howard in goal. You see Howard has respect. He balls at the defence. Haven't seen anything like that from Mucha.

Exactly this.

Of Moyes stays, yeah he might get some Fellaini money to splash about, but If he is so easily willing to go elsewhere then is he the right man to spend it?

Im not being funny Ijj but how do you/we know he is so easily to willing to go elsewhere?!

Really do think January debacle was behind his change in mindset.

Sell Fellaini for 25 mil and buy Rooney, ITS ON LADS, GOING FOR THE TITLE.

On a serious note I see where the OP is coming from but with a manager who we are not even sure will be here at the start of next season, the undenying fact that the possibility of a chunk of the Felli money going missing is quite high and the ageing squad we are not the best off but were still not exactly going too far backwards. Where we are now I think is fairly accurate, that in and around the top 6 spots, lets face it the teams above us actually have money and better squads than us, its going to be very hard to carry on competing without money.

Ha! Exactly. That team SHOULD have turned over Wigan easily. But it didnt. Do you really need a big list of all the games we SHOULD have won but didn't? I'd be here all day.

As for the keeper. I'm not denying that Howard is the better keeper. He obviously is. But Mucha has done nothing wrong and is the least of our current problems.

You think Howard would have saved those goals from last week? Or made the team play better to the point the goals wouldn't have happened?

No chance! Mucha did nothing wrong, the problem was the team selection and the mentality of everyone involved going in to the game.

Cheers for the backing Ijjy. I suppose, being completely honest, Stend may have a point in that I was being a bit negative....but the brutal truth is that I can't help being a bit negative now. I was talking to a mate who is a Brighton fan a couple of days ago and you know that things are bad when a fan of a lower division team can point out that his team still have something to play for and we don't.....even with nearly two months of the season left.

He wanted the spurs job long before January mate , ask foxy he knows . LCAB disagrees I think but moyes wanted that job and his simple failure to dismiss any links at the time tells its own story for me.

No worries. I used to try and be positive about Everton, but it's being all sapped out of me this season.

We've win big games mate. 2009 cup run we turned over Liverpool, Villa & United. We smashed Fiorentina at home and went out on penalties.

Let's see Mucha on Saturday mate.

We'd have been more organised with Howard in goal.

4 games in ten years and you include villa , a penalty victory against a second string united side and a two-legged defeat to support your argument mate.

That's quite a small list though. It just seems that whenever there is something actually on a game (next round of cup, cup final, cement a league place etc...) we balls it up. The team goes to sh*t. It's sad.

And like I say, Howard is the better keeper, but Mucha has done nothing wrong. Yet.
