Football specials,the halcyon days of being a supporter. Exciting and sometimes scary days. Loved every minute. Progressing to the ordinary or day train was a true rite of passage.

Millwall not icf about 10 of them I recall but a fair squad of Cardiff

Them two trips to Gillingham were a long day,the second one when we won there was a load of ICF turned up

Some millwall turned up for the first game , no proper segregation either

I can remember going to Ipswich for one night game, coming home we sat in this tunnel for ages, I think they had to change over engines. The time we got back inti lime street it was that late I just went straight to work...

Reading some of these posts almost brought a tear to my eye. Brilliant days, absolutely boss. Always an 'adventure' in so many ways. The football specials, sometimes going by Amberline, Barnes or the club's coaches (Selwyns or something like that?), then 'growing up' and going on the ordinary.

Boro on the ordinary in the 80s was always moody and a guaranteed adventure! Millwall 89 was great, and then the following season I think it was just 13 of us on the ordinary down there for a midweek game - it still went off outside the ground.

Completely different nowadays and I'm glad I was around to enjoy it while it lasted.
