To make top four we've got to improve on the final pass into the box. Our crossing has not been the best. More importantly, we go diligently and smoothly to get us into dangerous positions only for the final pass to be misdirected, underhit or overhit. The biggest culprit is Pienaar. He has great twist and turn and carries the ball as well as anyone, but the weighting on his passing is awful. The perfect example was yesterday when he did great to burst forward 30 yards to create a 3 on 2, only to choose the most difficult option ahead of him (a ball down the middle to Lukaku) and then, to compound the error, he underhits it. So frustrating.

Mata's not getting game time at Mourinho's Chelsea. He'd get game time at fellow Spaniard Bobby's Everton...alongside Barkley and with Lukaku up ahead.

Sounds exciting to me! I reckon Mata might be interested, as long as we match his wages and Chelsea's valuation.

I already said we'd match the wages of Chelsea.

And 20 clubs? Like who? Teams have to qualify for the Champs League first, and he may be settled in England and won't wanna move countries again.

He joins us, and our chances of finishing top 4 increase substantially. As do his claims for a World Cup spot in the summer thanks to his playing all the time.

This our main flaw this season.

However it will be sorted with upgrades to Pienaar and Kev at some point.

Weve started so well, and are right to be excited about immediate prospects, but lets remember the boss will have us looking quite different by the time we start next season.

For now we just have to accept our forward line including ross and lukaku are not quite are all missing that extra level of quality. I think we have done well considdering how poor we have been in the final third.
