The fans

I seen these comments in a thread on here and it made me wonder, are Evertonians as good fans as they proclaim to be? Or are they just another tribal echo chamber with misplaced exceptionalism, smattered with performative angry males demanding NSNO as if that would change four decades of being an also ran.




Anyway couldn’t work it out myself, let me ponder.

My opinion.

There are what I call "sleeper agents" on this forum.

They wait for the team to lose, a player to play poorly, the manager to make a "mistake", and then come out en masse to flood the group with negativity.

Most of them support Liverpool.

Like I said, just my opinion so I might be wrong.

It’s all just a sad reflection of current times. The loudest most obnoxious voices are always at the forefront. Either in a forum like this or in a queue at Tesco’s. I’m just amazed they have so much time on their hand with all the flag hanging from motorway bridges and painting of roundabouts. How do they still find time to post so much content on here and probably every other footy forum.

Agreed.

The loudest voice is the one without the power or wits to do anything else about it, but still desperately waiting to be noticed. Probably compensating for othet deficiencies in their life too so letting out angst.

I have to split it into forum fans and non forum fans, I find the fans in a forum are completely different to ones outside of it. I find fans on forums to be more fickle and negative than any other fans I’ve met in the real world.

I hope you’re wrong, unfortunately I just think that’s what Everton fans on a forum are like. So many would have gladly took a relegation just to be proved right.
