The malicious communications act covers very minor offences of stuff sent via, letter, email, Twitter etc.
This is all part of the boards ongoing smear campaign against the fans.
It interacts with other acts. My understanding is that this would most likely be two instances of actual threats or 'menacing'. Most likely on twitter or via email
The ability to prosecute for criticism or jokes against the board would be a very 'high threshold'. Since their judgment within Everton Football Club, is well off they might be trying to push for it. The CPS would get huge outcry if they did for genuine 'criticism'
Nobody that is reasonable or involved with #AllTogetherNow or NSNOW would engage in or associate with threats or menacing
Indeed all the pre protest messaging indicated that they would be "peaceful protests" which they were on Saturday
Indeed it would be odd to be outraged by what the Board did - implying the fans are thugs, by responding as thugs.
Further. No one knows where the probable threats/menacing were made. If they were made in China or Africa or Russia. Or were made by bots? Good luck getting a prosecution. ?
Evertonians are sticking to the issues:
A failing Chairman. An under qualified or experienced CEO. Leading to a failing business and a terrible culture at the club. Changes are required.
