These trolls are becoming a real nuisance, the other one in the FFP thread. You put them on ignore but they still hog the thread, with their thinly veiled glee at our predicament in the guise of debate.

Something should be done about them.

This forum is about free speech within reasonable parameters, and also welcomes fans of other clubs, providing they're respectful. We don't want to change that, even if it means people annoying the heck out of us sometimes.

Just don't get angry with them or let them wind you up. Engage in logical dispassionate debate and they quickly get bored and move on to another club's forum.

I think if someone has a strong view on the moral repugnance of the activities of someone closely connected with Everton Football Club there is a duty to enlighten. it’s not a good look to come in here spouting off and then not providing back up material when questioned further.

It doesn’t need to be chapter and verse, just a few appropriate links to well respected journalistic articles will do. I don’t doubt there have been shady dealings, like I am in no doubt you could find shady dealings about every owner in the PL (or indeed Europe) where the owner has demonstrated morally questionable hard or soft power.

I'm not confused about the issues either, I just don't know the facts. Do you? There's quite a difference between confusion or knowledge. I know Usmanov was never the owner of the club though ... like you keep saying he is - so there's a fact to mull over.

Have you actually read the conversation? I am taking no glee, this only started as I responded to refute the praise of Moshiri and Usmonav.

I never said that, but you seem adept at reading what you want from between the lines, without any actual evidence being used. Of course I know his name and that he's been a sponsor. How would I not? But just like you, it seems, I know of none of these alleged shenanigans you keep trying to cast around baselessly.

Oh, the irony! My particular argument isn't on thin ice as I'm not attacking you nor deflecting. Just saying. However, your argument currently looks to be on a slither of ice just drifting over a thermal spring as you repeatedly deflect my requests to substantiate your slurs.

I didn't say you were any less of a fan because you don't understand what your owners have done which resulted in Usmanov's sanction. There is no point in me explaining what Usmanov has done. It is widely known and has been discussed quite a lot on GOT. If you have so little interest in it to get to this point without understanding it then I am not going to waste my time explaining it to you to receive the faux confused responses asking for citations. If you want to educate yourself about Russian politics there are lots of very credible and reputable sources of information on the internet. Yes, there is also lots of clickbait but it is quite easy to find reputable ones.

Are your reputable sources reporting on who benefits the most from the war in Ukraine? Probably not.

Really getting antsy about the fact that we haven't reshuffled the board, got that parasite out, and brought in investment yet. We need to rebuild now! Even if you don't dislike kenwright there can be no arguing that this is causing knock on delays to a long to do list of issues to solve this summer
