Another new investor in football swerves Everton to buy Getafe.

This group of clowns who have no idea about anything related to football but know loads about gettng high on petro dollars and international marketing have decided to rename Getafe (a place within madrid) Team Dubai.

This is the kind of owner that is out there.

This board knows what Evertonians want.......to achieve success without debasing ourselves by use of money or income. Quite rightly told NTL to **** off with that £30M.:toilet::toilet::toilet:

good luck and hats off to anyone trying to talk to this board, anything is worth a try, but in the long run do you think they will take any of it on board ?

What do you want the board to do?

Magic money out of thin air? Sell to the first buyer that comes along? Come up with buyers when none exist?

Or do you believe that we've already missed out on several abromavich and city type deals while Kenwright holds out for 5 trillion and a permanent seat on the board.

to work in the best interests of the club. they could do this by;
1) actually being open about selling the club instead of the mixed messages they put out, Re; investment
2) stop lying/misleading the fans
3) come up with a workable business plan, the one they have been using is fatally flawed
4) bring back the AGMs and actually engage the supporters, get them back onside.
5) realise WHY the fanbase are split, and face up to the fact they have failed , big time, in so many projects.
6) and most pertinant, STOP talking about investment, if thats what they want then no-one is going to give a penny while TWO billionaires sit on the board with wallets closed. if the clubs for sale say so.

or put simply be honest, its the one thing they have not tried as yet.

i was asking these lads if they thought the board would listen to them.
as for buyers its funny that nearly every club in the top two division has been bought in kenwrights time , and thats with two or more clubs in the city and old grounds in some cases and in citys case a rented one why not us

They think being open is Billy Liar recounting how 'two parties were interested but faded away when pressed to commit'.

2) stop lying/misleading the fans
Elstone would tell you how he has an open door policy...you can probably visit him if you catch him in between charity bike rides that last two months per time.

3) come up with a workable business plan, the one they have been using is fatally flawed
This comes under 'growing the business organically' - that is: squeezing more people into a stadium that Elstone himself recently stated was not fit for purpose and a bottom of the heap Premier League venue.

4) bring back the AGMs and actually engage the supporters, get them back onside.
No chance. They'll tell you that they were being 'abused' by people wanting to ask...erm...questions. This is part of their strategy to manage dissent and wont end anytime soon.

5) realise WHY the fanbase are split, and face up to the fact they have failed , big time, in so many projects.
According to Elstone the fanbase isn't split; it's just a few whingers out to cause trouble for the club. And they haven't 'failed big time' - they'll point you in the direction of revenue increases (the fact that this is nearly all down to sticking their hands out for sky-rocketting tv revenues is neither here nor there for them).

6) and most pertinant, STOP talking about investment, if thats what they want then no-one is going to give a penny while TWO billionaires sit on the board with wallets closed. if the clubs for sale say so.
Not just 'investment' though...SUITABLE investment.

valid points on most of them.

I believe that despite Kenwright/Moyes stabilising the club and taking it to a top seven level we risk undoing this by losing Moyes due to continual underinvestment. Moyes is loyal but that jars with his innate ambition and sooner or later I think we risk the ups and mostly downs of a managerial roundabout on the same kind of crap funds. The transparency issue is a big one. We have often been treated like mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on ****.

I still look at the league table and see only Chelsea and City as success stories regarding new ownership. But we all know the risk of losing Moyes if this continues nevermind the missed opportunity to see what Moyes could do with 30 million a season (easy champions league I reckon).

and only two have profited from being bought as far as league position goes whilst most of them have suffered whilst simultaneously rising all of the ticket prices.

In fairness to Kenwright, he said he is looking for the best owner and if he sold us to someone like that, there would be trouble.

every club above us has been sold at some piont, stoke are miles better under new owners as are,qpr ,notts forest ,leciester leeds ,even blackpool since the got new ownwer are all in better shape since being bought out an , even the red****e are on the up,pompy was a land grab deal, newcastle is run crap, but its till dosnt get away from the fact they have all been sold when we are supposed to be for sale.
are ticket prices do go up as well, and would do even more so if the demand was greater,we dont have a waiting list loads of the higher ticket priced clubs do.
What have this lot done to be held up as some shining light two failed ground moves, nothing done to improve goodison, the debt has gone up since they have been in charge, neterley ,bellfield sold , the land for finch farm bought of the council then sold on, to then be, hired back at a cost of a million pounds a year for fifty years, or buy for 17 million after so many years, for something that cost less than eight million pounds to build including buying the land of us. and take a look at the subs bench if you think its all rosy player wise at goodison, and lets look forward to the summer which will see next to no net spend on players like the last few, if that all good for you fine i cant make you change your mind , but a lot of people are getting fed up with them , season ticket sales are down whats going to get them going back up if we stay the same.
