Mickey Blue Eyes sycophantic interview #134. To summarise......

  • less money to spend next season than even this season
  • The stadium!!! Lol! Where d'you start with these answers??!!: "We don't have a waiting list for season tickets and in reality what we need is 'quality rather than quantity'" ...well, it's a good job we didn't shift up to Kirkby and into a 55,000 seater ground then (as you and your paymasters wanted) isn't it then Bob??!!! "Is Goodison Park in imminent danger of losing its safety certificate due to timber construction in the Bullens Road stand - No, it isn't" Ha Ha Ha....but, but, but, you said it it would be Bob!!! ****ing snakeoil salesman.
  • ...and (oh look, Neiler) the KEIOC report that the Annexe was derailed because of the securitization deal WAS accurate....funny that, eh? Maybe you'll accept what you're being told next time??
  • "We fund any losses...by trading players" - well, there you go, from the horses mouth.
  • Accounting: "We operate best practice at Goodison Park and that's the way it will stay." Yeah, that'll include a tortuous route of loans to the club via fiancial vehicles operating out of a kiosk in the British Virgin Islands...where it just so happens a director of the club has his shares set up in another mysterious and impenetrable financial set up. Nothing to see here folks....
  • "you cant place a value on a football club" ...and then he's scratching his head wondering why "12 parties" have walked away. It must never have been done before - valuing a club. Oh no, wait.....
  • The £24M 'operaing costs' under dispute: if it's so simple and non-controversial break that figure down into a list and underline what goes where then. Seems simple...but he wont, because he daren't.
  • How does Bill put up with "two lads jabbing their fingers through railings and swearing at him?" Liar. Didn't happen. I hope those Blue Union lads threaten to sue him the way he did them. I suppose if you lie down with dogs you come up with fleas...you've been sitting too closely next to Billy Liar, Bobby lad.
  • He thinks the fan forum is going well...well he would wouldn't he? He hand picked them so he could comply with the regulations of UEFA which demand fan input at elite clubs now, and so he gets a load of friendly questioning instead of the fierce grilling he should get. Coward.

Stick to the mountain bike charity riding, Suntan. You're well out of your depth at this club.

Correction, you said the annexe wouldnt go ahead at all - i said there had been no offical confirmation - there still hasnt been.

But your right i beleive the BU/Keioc tell porkies. I wonder why they arent protesting before the semi final, surely that will put huge pressure on given the national exposure.

But i agree there aint much in that interview thats surprising, or indicitive of progress - as predictaded pre Kirkby decline i told you we would be treading water for ten years - well - its here!

DAVEK.

Do you think Robert Elstone is trying to purposely pull the wool over our eyes, and is involved in some sort of evil conspiracy to ruin Everton FC??

Or do you think he's just someone trying to do a job and working with others that make it hard for him??

Please answer,

thankyou.

Mate, I've already stated what I think Elstone is: a complete amateur not fit (like his bosses) to run a great institution like Everton Football Club. The cut of him can be seen in his reaction to real questioning over the club's affairs: he picks his ball up and runs off home like a sulky kid. That's why he has to hand pick the supporters he speaks to.

Correction, you said the annexe wouldnt go ahead at all - i said there had been no offical confirmation - there still hasnt been.

And it wont go ahead. I've just read in that MBE *interview* that there's talk about talks about talks to get the thing resurrected. You think it'll get sorted? Good luck with that.

Very ungracious. You just cant stand to concede the point that you doubted the initial breaking story from KEIOC that the annexe was placed on hold because of the Pru's insistence. You're better than that mate.

I suppose a term you have to use to describe Everton presently is balance.

Lets not be under any illusions that not a particularly positive or hopefull interview we are threading water on a number probably to many issues, the margins of progress and the current boards capacity to acheive it are limited, now is prob the best we can be. Its not surprising post kirkby this was always going to be happen and to be honest i would be surprised if there was a takeover etc for a number of years.

I tend to use the term glass ceiling, we have hit it, its frustrating, but then you have to qualify that though by the progress made really since this board took over and the journey to hit that that window. Today we are at Wembley of the back of some terrific league form, its not the first time in recent years we have been there, we have been in Europe, we have had some great nights - some terrific results against teams we have no right pound for pound of getting. We no longer look at the fixtures to see who we are playing on the last day of the season to stay up, if we have hit a glass ceiling we have progressed to be able to hit it.

What seems evident, despite all the bluster the club and team have silenced there most ardent critics, where are the BU why are they not more vocal has anything really changed behind the scenes etc? The lack of activity annoys me a little, it smacks of opportunistic canvassing when fans are at their most vulnerable - no doubt they will be back active if we have a frustrating summer - but it badly smacks of opportunistic, populist mushroom picking without a cohesive consistent plan. Why not protest before the semi final - i really dont understand that - with a national audiance etc.

Well anyway, the lack of voice among these groups or fans in general in regard to off the field stuff - bar a rant on the interweb - really shows there is no real mandate or belief in the many assertions that the club is being run into the ground, true to say we need finance to progress and take it on but that is very different from accusations of Hicks and Gillet/Rangers standards.

Enjoy today lids, i give it a month into the summer for it all quickly to be forgoton and we will hate the club again.

FFS i'm watching some classic Coronation Street humour over a carrot cake and guess who turns up?

Not only that but he made Rita spill it on the floor the clumsy git.

i see reading are getting taken over, hoh hum...

Sad to say they are a much better prospect than us we need clarity and transparency but we arent getting it and until that happens i cant see us moving onwards just staying static and the occasional cup run but the usual league form of not turning up till after christmas
