My original point was that the Blue Union seem to get blamed for things that have had absolutely nothing to do with them. Which is plain silly.

If you do not support the Blue Union I suggested that said person to not join in, as in take no part in the BU's meetings/marchs. Not to not join in debate about them as you seem to have taken it as this is a forum for all Everton fans as you so kindly pointed out to me.

OK

Has someone dreamed up an 'Everton Defence League' yet?

Only if Distin & Jags are the first members

As critical as some people have been of the blue union they have given Everton fans who are dissapointed with the performance of the board a outlet and voice for their frustrations. Without this outlet they may simple stop going the game and give up hope of any Improvement in the way the club is run.

Be interesting to see what the gate is tomorrow?

At the end of the day we are all BLUES.

We all want the same, we want the advancement of Everton back to where we believe we belong - the top of English football.

We differ on how we will get there. Almost all accept we will not do it under the current ownership and management structure.

Some support BU, many do not, yet we all want the same thing just differ in how to get it.

The last thing we need is to fight amongst ourselves - the outside world and the press in particular would be delighted, but it must not happen.

Fight for the BLUES, not against other BLUES

Those on the march - enjoy and make yourselves heard but respect those other Blues who are not joining you, and vice versa !

Keioc dont sound too hopeful on the takeover talks. They do have a warning about this feller though:

"...the American, Jerome L Simon, should be viewed with caution by wary Evertonians; he has been quietly purchasing shares in Everton and has a proclivity for buying distressed companies and leveraged buyouts"

To be fair there are pieces in that article that are excellent, surprised here, however there are the usual UFO mental bits - shame but an improvement.

Loling at the Gandhi link though!

Kenwright just interviewed on Radio Merseyside there. No takeover in sight...there'll be a little bit of money (or "investment" as he calls it), not much...there's no bigger Evertonian than him....a proud week for the club with the win topping off the Rodwell cap but saddened by the protestors, though it's a free country etc.

*sigh*

Just listening to his voice and his words and your heart sinks. You just know Everton are going to be shit until he frigs off. Some love him though. 4th from bottom before today, no hope for the future and they love him.

He said: "Look Mike [Hughes of Radio M'side] we're ALWAYS in talks with two or three people. People ask ing about due dilligence and stuff...these thngs take time, blah, blah, blah".

Funny that he says these things take time, though. Remember when Gregg wanted to buy the club and he found another "buyer" with the FSF in about a week?

Perish the thought that Bill's a bit of a liar like.
