The PG stuff is dull in the extreme.

The man is a multi Billionaire, and he's made his money in the retail clothing game ffs. Do you think if he'd have had a hands on controlling interest in Everton and was someone signing off on every transaction, that a man who'd made his fortune out of retail would have signed off the kitbag deal?

Logic fail here I'm afraid chaps.

Sutton Kersch may be involved in selling my house, it doesn't mean they own it.

What's next? Phillip Green takes goalkeeping training? Maybe that's why Tim Howard has gone rubbish?

Let's face it, few of us know much about the board's workings, in all honesty. It's mostly guesswork. I'm probably going to be replied to with essays here.

Information I have suggests that PG was the one who suggested the Kone-Lukaku partnership. Read that how you wish...

What a terrible analogy & reply in general.

You pay An estate agent for their services, as I've already said every single one of the people mentioned by Keneright himself is benefitting for trying to sell the club apart from one person apparently. Go figure

Incredible that you'd use that example when in defence of Kenwright its said that he wouldn't have been involved in the kitbag deal and it's Elstones fault.

Logic fail indeed.

And what a terrible way to respond to someone.

Have you no manners?

Most supporters are not stupid and are well able to make their own minds up about who owns and controls the club. I don't think they can so easily be swung by arguments or counter arguments for or against the board.

There will always be a number of theories about who controls the club, but the audited accounts and the Companies office only mention those that we already know about.
Any other arrangements would appear to be outside the knowledge of the auditors and companies office and I would suggest are illegal and certainly unenforceable.

I have no doubt that Bill Kenwright and the board have a number of confidantes and I have no doubt that Philip Green is one of them. I expect there are others besides possibly Terry Leahy as well.

Bill Kenwrights expertise is in the theatre , not in selling football clubs.
Philip Green has an expertise in retail and would certainly have a level of expertise that would benefit Everton. Although I can only assume that his advice has been ignored when you consider how weak our efforts have been as a club in the non-football side of our business.

Finally. The money that has come into football in the last five years could hardly have been guessed at a decade ago. It does appear that in the next five we will be talking about amounts that dwarf current incomes. The money coming into football has gone crazy.
My point can more easily be explained when relating to a house purchase. If you buy a house for 100k and borrow 95k to fund it then you are certainly under a certain amount of control of the lender. If you are lucky enough that the value of the house jumps to 500k then you are certainly far more independent because of the increase of the value of the asset.

Everton may be in a somewhat similar situation , the club is far more valuable now than it was a decade ago and not just because of all the top quality young players we have but because of all the extra hundreds of millions being pumped in by television.

What advantage does a takeover rumour bring to the AGM?

Makes the shareholder feel the glow of the feel good factor.

Makes the shareholder think they are in the box seat for a windfall.

Makes the shareholder think there is no smoke without fire.

Makes the shareholder ignore the dire performance of the money men at the club.

Makes the shareholder ignore the poor performance as per accounts only massively improved thanks to Sky.

Makes the shareholder ignore the dysfunctional board of chancers we have in place.
