The renewal of that loan also shows that they're likely to spend the proceeds in the transfer market, as otherwise the incremental TV revenue and the current level of net spend would mean that they could have cleared the Vibrac loan without the need to renew it.

You'd like to think so otherwise why else renew the loan? After all they should be sitting on a pile of cash following successive transfer windows where net spend was minimal.

Great that we stood firm on Stones, but let's not forget we need change at the top of the club.

The current Board will not take us to the levels we wish for without further investment (not loans).

It would be a great time to go out and seek investment whilst Everton and Bill's stock is high from standing up to Chelsea, the media and other parties.

...yes, but more pressing matter is that we need cash spent in this window.

'Well done Bill for standing up to Jose (clap, clap, clap)...erm...where's the new players Bill?...oh, we dont get any this summer?'

I'm not sure that falls under the category of victory, tbh.

We will spend before Tuesday Dave, we have the funding through the finance facility, up to £20 million would be my guess.

We'll see. I hope you're right, I really do. If we do it'll be clawed back some other time, but now is when we desperately need it.

I'm not sure what we'll get for £20M like.
