The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

Like I said earlier if the BU was holding things back you would have wanted it revealing like this post.

Mate, it was absolutely nothing to do with BU. Zippo. It was a rumour, that seemed to have a logical kind of feel to it. Just about funding for WHP, which surfaced at the same time the WHP thing popped up.

2 + 2 and all that.

Yeah I heard that at the time.

Wouldn't rule it out yet I'd rather wait till the Merseyside super council is confirmed.

You out debate them on public platforms.

On the media. On the internet. Everywhere.

You systematically begin applying INCREASING economic pressure and sanctions on the board. Eg boycott of service.

You tell Kenwright politely that small time thinking will see us go back wards over the next three years whilst Spurs and West Ham have spades in the ground.

If Kenwright is indeed ill. Then thats even more reason he should step aside. As he's no longer fit to carry out his duties.

All pretty pointless.

The only real way to put pressure on the board is to find a person, or consortium, who are willing to offer a reasonable price for all, or part, of the club, and work with them to ensure that any reasonable offer isn't rejected out of hand.

To get to that position you need to have contacts which, in the main, are not available to the vast majority of fans / posters / pressure group members.

Given that seems unlikely, then pressure groups need to find a way to convince the board that they can offer something to help constructively, otherwise it'll just be hot air. I don't know how that could happen though.

I will be very surprised if this board turn down anything above 30 million for Stones.

Might turn many supporters previously on the fence against them.

Maybe this year, they have decided to not renew the Vibrac loan, could be a reason for the lack of spend. Might be doing the sensible thing for a change.

Assuming no major purchases this window then it is possible that they would not need the short term financing. It would be fairly tight though.

Certainly by this time next year (major player trading excepted) there should be no need.

If they are serious about a new stadium, getting rid of these "Payday loans" would have to be done before attempting to do a finance deal with a lender.
