The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

As a selling club the board has been fantastic, hands down. Them lot constantly sell their best players to bigger clubs than them and go about their business. We constantly over profit on our players, with Fellaini / Lescott / Rodwell / Rooney bringing in close to 100 million in sales.

the issue with the board is why is this money not reinvested. We need to be putting money on the pitch and backing managers and for years we aren't doing that, which hits us financially again because we cannot compete with teams who do. In what a year or two, the tv money goes up again. We need to be putting that on the pitch, not hoarding it away to pay debts we never hear about.

If we can keep the chairman, but get a financier in then I'd be happy.
It was the chairman who handpicked the other major shareholders, knowing full well they had no interest in financing anything.

He also hired and backs the CEO, who has done a woeful job of securing additional revenue through sponsorship, merchandising and match day catering.

If you are capable of signing for cheques from Sky, and could be trusted not to lose said cheques before they're cashed, then you, Number_25, would do just as good a job as Bill Kenwright.

we need this board gone..people who still want bill have lost the plot,we will end up like tranmere,a few more years left fighting to stay in the prem. :(

It's the commercial aspect that is the most painful. No growth in the Premier League. I'm not even sure how this is possible! Here is just one example. Looks like another 4 years of low income from Kitbag. We also take a similar kicking on shirt sponsorship.

Arsenal £30m per season (Puma, 2014 – 2019).
Chelsea £20m per season (Adidas, 2010 – 2018).
Liverpool £25m per season (Warrior, 2012 – 2018).
Man United £23.5m per season (Nike, 2002 – 2015).
Man City £12m per season (Nike, 2013 – 2019).
Spurs £10m per season (Under Armour, 2012 – 2017)
Everton £3.2m per season (Kitbag, 2009 – 2019)

That's pretty awful and embarrassing. We are the smackheads of the Top flight, we'll take whatever we can for a quick fix.
