As we have seen, the list of extremely powerful people who needed him silenced is a long one. Literally a lucky dip at this point.

The Israel links bother me as well. There's literally pictures of him wearing IDF branded clothing, he was close friends with Ehud Barak, worked with Peter Theil (Palantir have some huge contracts with the Israeli government), he funded a load of pro-Israel organisations and there's documents from the FBI suggesting he was a Mossad asset.
Yet everyone is
Surely you have to judge also in what they inherited.

U turns are never a good look accepted. And they have made some poor decisions.

But trying to right a country after 14 years of Tory’s, after them deliberately sabotaging growth through Brexit was never going to be an easy job!
They ran the country into the ground from 2010 right until they left.
Destroyed every public service we had and stole billions.

You aren’t going to please all of the people all of the time.
The right wing media have been abhorrent since Labour took office.

They never report on anything positive this government do. They’ve already done more good in 19 months than the last shower did in 14 years.

I sometimes think this country deserves every bit of misery it gets.

He’s done “grown up politics” trade deals with India, China, brought us closer to the EU again, took some kids out of poverty, helped working parents, whilst constantly being pelted with lies and crap from the right wing media.

He had a massive mandate and majority to work with yet is on the verge of losing the job less than two years in.

He’s been terrible.

If he does manage to limp to the next election his legacy will be giving the keys to Downing Street to reform and history will look back very poorly on him.

The right wing media stuff is nonsense as well.

The Labour Party is built in the image of Morgan mcsweeny and Peter Mandelson and starmer is the guy they’ve chosen to be the man to lead it.

He’s got friends all over the media. I’ve heard so much recently about him being a good man, how much he cares about public service. He’s receiving plenty of support.

The media helped him get the leadership and get into power.

They’re all in the same club. When it comes to playing the game Labour and the tories really are as bad as eachother.

Labour will always have the better policies for the country but I prefer holding the party to account instead of constantly referring to how bad the tories are as a way to defend them.

Labour at the present time is so far beyond the party it needs to be.

Yet everyone is talking about his links to Putin and Russia

He was absolutely being used to dig dirt for Israel and they have form for getting rid of people. Would make sense as to why so many powerful people are bending over backwards to help support a genocide if they are nearly all compromised.

He most likely helped Russian gangsters and oligarchs launder money into the west, and traffic poor girls but he wasn’t part of some massive honeytrap operation lead by the Russians like the media are making out.

As you say, all the evidence leads to him working with Mossad.

I believe he was probably an asset for Mossad and Maxwell was the spy hence why she’s still alive and Epstein is dead.

He was probably small fry in the grand scheme of things.

Hopefully this act of treason/sharing official government secrets by Mountbatten will be the 'foot in the door' that the police require to hold him accountable for everything he's done.

I'm sure if the government requested unredacted access to all information about him held in the US they would get it — the US government knows the full extent of Andrew's crimes and themselves aren't interested in prosecution him, but maybe under public pressure from the UK, they can be persuaded.

As we've seen yesterday, the monarchy is finally prepared to throw him under the bus to deflect any attention away from themselves.

It’s odd that Wes Streeting isn’t getting it in the neck for sending kissy texts to Epstein’s best mate Mandelson.

What is it with this government and their sleazy love-ins?

Starmer’s only still in power because his only rivals are Streeting and Rayner who is still yet to pay the tax bill that she was sacked for avoiding. Absolute clownshow.

Good chance they know an avalanche of info is due to drop so the top job facing all that mither may as well be the chap already up to his eyes in it. And whoever is pm, if it comes to it, will make history prosecuting a former royal.

'Arming up' and civilisation are strange bedfellows!

Anyway, back to Epstein: Starmer is clearly having a laugh when he says he had to take Mandelson's word for it that there was nothing to his connection with Epstein. The evidence was there all around him. FFS a newspaper like the Financial Times spelled it out to Starmer in the days before his appointment of Mandelson to Washington...and Im pretty sure he'd have had all the answers he needed from the country's intelligence services.

It's an insult to try and get Starmer out of this by ignoring all that. A real pisstake. Starmer will pay for his appalling judgment with his job. No question of that, and righty so.

What he should have been sacked for before all this though is his squandering of a landslide win. Instead of telling the bond markets to go and swing it if they signalled their displeasure at any potential spending he and Reeves have been dictated to by them: threatening the old and the disabled and saving cash instead of investing. And the massive carve up of the NHS and handing it over to corporations like Plantir who have their fingers in other government departments too - all on Starmer's watch.

That's why the electorate detest Starmer. That's why Labour will lose in Gorton and Denton. All Mandelson/Epstein/Starmer does is reinforce that an out of touch elite didn't vacate government in July 2024, it just mutated into the Labour variety.
Unfortunately Dave, you still have to 'arm up' to protect anything. I broadly agree with you on the rest (he grudgingly admitted)
