Watched it many, many times, it's never as scary as the first time. I had nightmares for months after that, I'd watched it in the afternoon, and I'd already read the book.
Will usually watch it twice a year, and the worst part was originally left out, where she comes down the stairs like a spider
Brilliantly made, but it needs Exorcist 3 (Legion,the proper sequel) to round the story off.

Always made me feel a bit odd about how people blatantly filmed him, I realise he was in a way in on the joke but not sure how I felt about the whole thing. To be fair he didn't sound much worse than that blind fella with his lift music electric guitar sounds/
