A troubled lady. Not arsed about celeb deaths, but I feel a little sadness (for her) on this one. Robin Williams was probably the last one.

Poor Sinéad. I was never a fan per se, but we all grew up with her in Ireland and she was always a little bit more than "just" a musician. She was one of those people you liked even if you didn't like her art. Mad as a box of frogs, and badly advised at times, but she was clearly troubled and always elicited a certain amount of sympathy even during her crazier publicity-seeking moments. I went "Oh no" when I saw the news. The loss of her son quite recently was another horrible blow. Very sad news.

Indeed. Prince was a genius. But with her rendition, Sinéad made it her song. I think one had to be even more nuts than the Purple One to pull off that feat, but she inhabited that song. Did him proud.
