Sometimes when opening this thread after it's been bumped I get a pit in my stomach and usually I'm relieved to see that it's not a favourite or someone that has lived a long life and it was just their 'time'. However sad that is you can compartmentalise the news.

Today was not one of those days.

Bloody ell... didn't even know he was unwell.

he had a really bad voice recently that smacked of C treatment. RIP, personally I found him a very funny man.

I had a feeling cause of recent appearances on Countdown that I had seen he sounded quite ill.

I didn't think he'd done countdown for at least 3 years or more..
